omg I have not had any time to do any artwork recently (not that anybody REALLY cares)
However I have recently become a huge fan of Alvin Earthworm's Super Mario Bros. Z sprite series and eagerly await the release of Episode 8!
Anyway, I know Alvin released a promo similar to this one. That's because this is a 3D remake of the original promo, as tribute to Alvin in all his godlyness! (And also because i am renowned for my originality and couldnt come up with an idea that i liked... so sue me...)
I particularly liked the way the Chaos Emeralds came out.
**EDIT:
thankfully alerted me to the fact that the L on Luigi's hat was backwards... now that is fixed and I also centered the Earth in the background a little more and downsized the green emerald
